Bray Twinned with Bègles
Bray is twinned with the towns of Bègles in France, Würzburg in Germany and Dublin California. Each year delegates representing Bray visit and play host to their counterparts in each of the twinned towns. This helps foster links between the towns and helps promote all Bray has to offer.
Bègles is a town a France located in the heart of the Aquitaine region, which is renowned for its wine. Some of the worlds most renowned vineyards are within a short distance of the town.
Bègles is in a excellent position, near to Bordeaux, which gives the town access to excellent amenities and transports systems. Bègles is also near the Atlantic coast which offers many exciting activities and close to Dordogne, an area of spectacular natural beauty.
The twinning with Bègles was Bray’s first European Twinning Partnership. The Twinning Charter with Bègles was formally signed in 1994, and since then a firm friendship between the towns has been forged. School and sporting exchanged have been developed between the two towns and hundreds of locals from both towns have made trips to each other
