Traffic restrictions and road closures this weekend for the Bray Air Display

The Bray Air Display will take place this weekend Saturday, 22nd July and Sunday, 23rd July and Gardai, Wicklow County Council and event organisers have prepared a robust traffic management plan to minimise disruption for local residents and help people travel in and out of Bray as easily as possible.

As part of this, road closures and traffic restrictions will be in place throughout the weekend. A number of ‘Park ‘n Ride’ car parks will be available for visitors over the two day event and organisers are making every effort to encourage visitors travelling by car to use these facilities. However, the strong message to those planning on attending the event is to use public transport, allow extra time for the journey and plan to arrive early with 12 noon the ideal recommended arrival time. There will be delays which is inevitable so please be patient.

Road Closures and Event information

The road closures are in place to facilitate residents, safe pedestrian flow, public transport and emergency access for the Bray Air Display. On roads with traffic restrictions, local access will be facilitated where possible. There will be no access to the event site at Strand Road between 12:00pm and 7:00pm on Sunday, July 23rd 2017.

Local Access

Every local residential household within the road closure area will be asked to produce their driving license and a copy of a utility bill as proof of residency. If you would prefer to use a Vehicle Access Pass – they can be picked up from the Bray Municipal District Office (off Main Street) from Wednesday, July 12th 2017 daily excluding weekends from 10:00am to 16:00pm. Please bring proof of identity, proof of residency (utility bill) & bring a current vehicle tax disc with you to the office to collect your pass.
