Wicklow County Council in consultation with the Taylor Family and An Garda Síochána are delighted to announce Katie Taylor’s Homecoming in Bray.
Bray is to welcome home Katie Taylor, the new undisputed lightweight world champion with a special homecoming on the seafront this coming Friday, June 7th, 2019. The event will kick off at 6:30 pm.
- 6:30 pm – Live music
- 7:00 pm – MC Des Cahill opens the event
- 7:30 pm – We welcome home Katie Taylor
- 8:00 pm – Live music continues to 9 pm
Speaking about Katie’s world-beating win, Mr Frank Curran, Chief Executive, Wicklow County Council, said: “Katie is a true champion and a wonderful Ambassador for Bray and Wicklow. It is right and proper that we should host a homecoming for her to mark her wonderful win.”
Bray.ie have advised that anyone planning on attending this event should take public transport where possible.
There will be traffic restrictions on Strand Road and this road will be closed to traffic from 5 pm along with restrictions on Meath Road, with local access only. Please plan your trip here.
There will be limited parking available in Bray ahead of this event in the following locations: Florence Road, Herbert Road, Carlisle Grounds (Quinsborough Road) and at the Bray Institute of Further Education (Novara Avenue).
