Wicklow County Council’s Culture Team is hosting two free public information and consultation workshops this week on Thursday, 1st February.
All interested groups and individuals in Wicklow are invited to attend, however, booking is necessary. To book a place, email email@example.com before 12 pm on Tuesday, 30th January.
A morning workshop will take place in Arklow Library from 11 am to 1 pm, and there will be an evening workshop in the Mermaid in Bray from 7 pm to 9 pm.
The Council’s Culture team is preparing Co. Wicklow’s first ever ‘Creative Ireland Five year Strategic Plan’, in line with the Government’s Legacy Programme for Ireland 2016 – due to be launched this year.
The plan seeks to put a supporting framework in place for enhanced public engagement with culture and creativity among communities and individuals in Co. Wicklow.
The workshops will be an opportunity for interested individuals to meet with members of the culture team, find out more about the emerging strategy and to share ideas and feedback. The team is particularly interested in hearing from and meeting members of the arts and heritage communities; members of societies and community groups as well as individuals with an interest in all forms of culture and creativity.
