The most famous and celebrated aerobatic display team on the planet – the Red Arrows – are set to blaze a trail across Irish skies once again this summer, as the headline act of the hugely popular Bray Air Display 2018*, supported by the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA). The free, family event is one of the most popular air shows in Europe and Ireland’s biggest air festival, attracting 140,000 people to marvel at amazing aerobatics during the weekend-long event last July. The Red Arrows wowed spectators during the 2016 #BrayAirDisplay and their return flying visit is sure to be much anticipated.

This year’s #BrayAirDisplay, the 13th year of the award-winning event, will take place on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th July 2018 as part of the IAA’s #AviationIreland weekend which includes Foynes air display in Co. Limerick on Saturday 28th July.

Peter Kearney, Chief Executive Designate of the Irish Aviation Authority said, “The IAA has a long history of supporting aviation activities that help promote the aviation industry so we are very happy to support the #AviationIreland weekend.”

Sé Pardy, Bray Air Display Director said, “It will be particularly special to have the Red Arrows headline the Bray Air Display this year. This is one of the most famous and accomplished aerobatic display teams in the world, and it is sure to ignite the imagination of a new generation of aviation enthusiasts. The Bray Air Display team is delighted to be part of this year’s #AviationIreland weekend which showcases the wonderful aviation expertise and skill we have here in Ireland. Many thanks to all our supporters, including the IAA whose role is pivotal in our event, as well as Wicklow County Council and Bray.ie.”

More details on aerobatic display acts that will perform at this year’s Bray Air Display will be released in the coming weeks. Activities will kick off from noon each day with a fun-fair, live music, food and craft markets. Spectators can book a breath-taking helicopter ride over Bray Head, hike the exhilarating Cliff Walk, or enjoy a sedate stroll along Bray’s magnificent Victorian prom.
