Bray Jazz Festival returns May Bank Holiday weekend

The festival will once again present the very best in contemporary jazz from across the globe, together with performances by many of Ireland’s top players.

Bray Jazz has been described as “one of the very best small jazz festivals in Europe”, and that’s for a reason. Each year the event brings leading name talent from across the world to the town, and this year will be no exception.

This year’s festival will feature performances by top American R & B and soul singer China Moses, by US jazz five-piece supergroup ‘Sound Prints’, featuring jazz legends – saxophonist Joe Lovano, trumpeter Dave Douglas and drummer Joey Baron, and a show with acclaimed Swedish pianist Bobo Stenson.

Shows will take place throughout the weekend at Mermaid Arts Centre, there will be early evening recitals at Bray Town Hall and shows over the weekend at Novara Avenue Parochial Hall, at The Harbour Bar, and at various clubs and bar venues across the town.
