Bray Economic Think Tank (BETT) was established to make recommendations to Bray Town Council on how Bray can attract and nurture business and promote sustainable economic development that creates jobs in Bray.
BETT (Bray Economic Think Tank) is an economic forum established by Bray Town Council to make recommendations on how Bray can attract & nurture business and promote sustainable economic development that creates jobs in Bray. Fourteen members of the business community came together at the invitation of the Cathaoirleach of Bray Town Council to formulate a plan for the economic development of the town. The aim was to create a sense local pride and community spirit and to promote Bray as an ideal place to live work and do business. The recommendations made by the group cover four key areas; Enterprise, Tourism, Retail and Brand Bray.
“We are delighted to announce the launch of Bray Start Up Centre which offers low cost fully serviced office facilities for new and developing businesses” says Ronan McManus, Cathaoirleach of Bray Town Council, speaking at the BETT launch. “The objective is to develop business at micro enterprise level by offering space, mentoring, and ultimately funding via the Bray Start Up Fund”
“If you have a good idea that you think could translate into a viable business, we will help you to test it and evaluate it initially” says Philip Hanningan, Chairman of the Think Tank. “ If it stand up to initial scrutiny, we can help you to develop it.”
