2018 Groove Festival lineup announced

Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Heather Small – The Voice of M People, HamsandwicH, The Riptide Movement, Something Happens & Kila announced for 2018 Groove Festival

Ireland’s best independent family music festival kicks off summer 2018 by returning to its original weekend of July 7th + 8th. Music is front and centre of the festival with a host of music names to rock the picturesque setting of Killruddery House & Gardens in Bray, Co Wicklow. On Saturday 7th international guests and much loved by Irish audiences, the Kings of New York, Fun Lovin’ Criminals will bring their Scooby Snacks for one night of hit after hit. Heather Small – The Voice of M People, is no stranger to Irish shores. Performing all of M People’s and her own solo hits, Heather will be giving One Night in Heaven again to Irish audiences on Sunday 8th July at Killruddery. Groove Festival offers one of the most spectacular stage settings in the country right on the doorstep of Dublin at the foot of the Sugarloaf.

Joining Fun Lovin’ Criminals on Saturday will be some of the most well-known names in Irish music including The Riptide Movement and the Irish legends Something Happens. Sunday sees stellar acts such as HamsandwicH and Kila on the bill with one more headliner along with details of the Sony Xperia Stage line up to be announced in the coming weeks.

NEW FOR 2018…Live Lounge!

Join us in the first ever Live Lounge at Groove Festival. Grab some food and drink, take a seat and get comfy. Culture Vultures – a themed pop culture event of words and music with appearances from the Groove artists will feature.

Also popping up in the Lounge is the Hardy Har Comedy Club hosted by Adam Burke (Finalist, Ireland’s Got Comedy Talent, Laughter Lounge, Vodafone Comedy Carnival).  We are delighted to announce that comedian Eric Lalor is confirmed along with Dublin duo Totally Wired. More entertainment to be announced in the coming weeks.

NEW FOR 2018…Groove World of Magical Mystery!

A magical world in the woods of circus magicians and acrobats, pirates looking for treasure, a dark Queen looking for the fairy princess and a mad scientist trying to make them all disappear….Wondrous shows to make your hair stand on end.

This is not for the faint-hearted.  If you do not believe you will never find your way through the maze…  But, for everyone else, see you on the other side for the Groove World of Magical Mystery!

  • Roaming Characters like the Mad Scientist throughout the Mystery World

  • Wandering Magicians with busking Magic Shows

  • Pirates running around looking for Treasure with your help

NEW FOR 2018…Hell & Back activities pop up at Groove!

With more details to be revealed, Hell & Back team up with Groove for a weekend of exciting challenges and outdoor activities for kids of all ages! Hell & Back are no strangers to Killruddery, they run many events during the year and Groove are delighted to have them on board as our outdoor activity partner.

Expect some very exciting plans from the Energia team this summer!
